The Fjord brand was established in 1960 in Norway and immediately developed a reputation for producing well-built, dependable, and seaworthy leisure boats. In 2007, after being acquired by Hanse Yachts AG, the brand went on a new course. Each Fjord Yacht combines Scandinavian design with a keen eye for aesthetics, Mediterranean culture for luxury, and German engineering to offer great craftsmanship, exceptional performance, and optimum safety. Due to the fact that Fjord Yachts are manufactured in Germany, the brand promises superior quality from start to finish. The Fjord 40 Open, the first of the new Fjord Yachts, is considered to have revolutionized the 40-foot class. The Fjord 40 Open was the first production model of its sort to feature a bold, dramatic, and angular exterior design along with openers, elegance, and comfort. The unveiling of the 2008 European Powerboat of the Year at Dusseldorf’s Boot set the tone for the rest of the Fjord boats.
